When James was 21, he was diagnosed with stage-four cancer. Twice.

During the hardest period of treatment, anxiety took over. There were nights spent sitting in front of the mirror, convinced the cancer had returned, checking for lumps that weren’t there.

One night in Sutton Coldfield, Frankie climbed onto his chest and physically stopped him.

She grabbed his hand every time he reached for his neck. She barked when he tried again.

That was the moment everything changed.

Because sometimes a dog doesn’t just live with you.

Sometimes a dog holds you together.

James & Frankie was built from that bond — to help owners create the same kind of trust, stability, and understanding with their own dogs.

  • After getting our Rottweiler from Birmingham dogs home in December we noticed she would become reactive to certain dogs on walks and pull on the lead which started after her first season , we got in touch with James and booked in some sessions , James taught us a lot about dogs and why they can act certain ways as well as advice on what we can do to support her , after a few sessions we saw a massive difference in our dog and she is now able to go up to and play with dogs which is a massive step !
